Welcome to Green-Ocean eV

Can we win you over to our NGO and its goals?

Green Ocean - Guiding Principles

The aim of the association is:

  • Our goal is to offer practical development projects and humanitarian aid to people in third countries.
  • The group's work is non-profit.
  • Promoting the dissemination of information about issues in the field of environment and development.
  • Providing a regular discussion platform for related topics.
  • Networking of environmental and development experts with interested parties on site.
  • To connect producers from underdeveloped areas with customers in more developed areas, eliminating intermediaries to ensure direct trade.
  • Promoting contact and friendly relations between members.
  • Supporting ideas and initiatives to develop sustainable methods for generating income.
  • To promote and support the UN Declaration of Human Rights.
  • To promote and support the UN Declaration Agenda 21.

membership

  • Membership is open to anyone interested in the group's goal.

Why do we help? In large-scale disasters, such as the Indian Ocean tsunami and the hurricane that struck New Orleans, our community's willingness to help has become swift and generous. Behind our projects, however, often lie catastrophic individual stories: starving people, hopelessness, oppression, and despair. We try to help, to raise awareness and garner your support! Please ask about the background of these stories – you will find many articles by those affected in the Facebook groups. Please allow us to refrain from posting shocking photos of bulging eyes and emaciated bodies on our website. We are seeking help, but we do not want to shock you. "A gift is the only joy that doubles when shared" (a Polynesian proverb).

Our promises

There are 3 processes that one could watch indefinitely:

  • a burning, crackling fire
  • a babbling waterfall
  • a working person

Let's not add a fourth job:

  • a person in need

Help us to provide long-term support to a family in a developing country through a self-help project with your donation or membership (€45 annually)!

The state of our environment, our climate, and the interactions of people are directly related to our quality of life.

Our NGO strives to achieve local change in the areas of environment and development by supporting local projects and families.

Often, small changes, targeted support, and the exchange of experiences can lead to independent and sustainable employment.

With the help of our members, sponsors and volunteers, we support projects such as:

  • Horticulture and agriculture
  • Livestock farming
  • Aquaculture
  • Fisheries projects
  • Support for small businesses
  • Initial and continuing education

  • Together we can bring about change!

    Let's get started!

    Effectiveness of our NGO

How much of the money from donations and membership fees actually reaches the projects?

Our NGO currently works exclusively with volunteers. This means that no wages are paid and only minimal contributions towards expenses are made – our volunteers often support the work with in-kind donations.

Unfortunately, this does not apply to the bank and the transfer fees for our aid services.

If you view our public cash book, you will see the administrative costs listed separately.

We are very proud to announce that we currently achieve an efficiency of 94% – that means that for every €100 in our coffers, 94% reach our projects… without deductions, without further hidden costs, without bribes!

Please compare this with other, similar NGOs.

We are very proud of this achievement!
